Testimonial from Lt. Henry
President of Juen's College
Belfast.

As I have not the advantages possessed by the Professors of this College of knowing the exact position and acquirements of the students who have studied in their classes, I make it a rule when applied to for testimonials to ask the applicants for their certificates and also for a return from the Registrar of the College regarding them. I am happy to find that the estimate I had formed of Dr Lamb Johnstone is fully sustained by my investigation of his merits. After the sound training he has had in this College and in the Schools of Anatomy, Surgery, and Hospitals of General Diseases and Accidents taken in connection with his invariable industry, perseverance, and success, I cannot but regard him as very highly qualified to prosecute with much credit and advantage the various branches of his profession: And when I connect with this the fact attested in his papers that he assisted Lt. J. Horne of Learboard in General Practice with the cordial approbation of that gentleman for fifteen months, I feel no hesitation in expressing a very strong opinion regarding Lt. Johnstone's competency and excellent ability. He possesses what ought to be, good sense and a very pleasing address, and I know that his character and conduct have been most exemplary.
